Complaint Review: Gillett Diesel Services Inc - Bluffdale Utah

I have now seen this business scam 2 people I know very well and want to get their stories out and to warn others about what happend to them.

The 1st friend took his 2005 chevy in for a spun barring but it only had a bad injector. They replaced my motor and kept it and sold it. Then when he picked it up the AC didnt work. I didnt have an issue with this before I dropped it off the 1st time.  Dropped it off again, they charged me $120 to refill it and when I picked it up it still didnt work. They would never cover any of it. Finally took it apart and found that they broke the rubber gasket. Easy fix, why couldnt they fix is since they are the ones that did this. They didnt even change the oil filter on the used motoro so I had to do an oil change but was charged. Had wires handing everywhere as well.  Just a horrible job and more issues arose after taking it to Gillett Diesel.  Very horrible job.

I also have my son in law that took his truck in and 6 months later they kept telling him they cant fix his Diesel Chevy truck. Why??  Finally he got his truck back and 6k had to be paid without knowing what they have even done or tried.  (he had someone that knew them to finally get it back, they were holding it and nothing being done but he was making the payments on a truck he could not even use. After he got it back he looked it over and worked on what he could see was wrong and had help froms others.  The thing is that the issues he found were not even related to the issue on why he took it into Gillett Diesel and while having friend help they ran diagnostics on it and they noticed other issues and realized they had not worked on the issue of why he had to get help for.  So his truck was in for 6 months, things were not done on the truck for reason that he brought it in, he made payments on this truck and unable to drive it, now 2 months later, he still has not been able to drive it or use it.  

What did they do with it being there that long? 

He recently had someone do a diagnostic test and the issue was the one item they did replace so why is this not working? It was the CP4 and after 6k his truck is still not running.

 I want them to make sure they take care of my son in law and if they add more issues then you know what happens next to them. We are done with this business and the money he has had to pay out on this truck is not adding up.

I want invoices for everything they did on his truck and the costs of it all, I want to know why they never worked on it while having it all that time and why do they do what they do because it stops here.

They need to make sure they make it right and stop doing this.  

Why do businesses seriously do this? This is fraud, scams and this will ruin them if they dont stop doing this to people.

Trust me, make sure you know exactly what they are working on, get the full detailed invoice and make sure that if another issue appears you take it back and tell them that this issue was not there until they worked on your vehicle.

Seriously if I were you, just dont even take your vehicle to this business. You will end up with more issues and more money than you thought you would have to fork out for your vehicle.
