Firestone Complete Auto Care - Easton Pennsylvania Firestone wanted to charged more than quoted, told me that I needed repairs that i did not Easton Pennsylvania
I needed breaks so I called Firestone in Easton PA. I asked for a price for breaks and roters for my specific car. They quopted me $399. A bit high but I went with it since they were going to get me in same day. Dropped the car off and asked them to call me with an exact number when they take the wheel off and are sure of what needs to be done. I got a call let and the manager (i believe his name was George) told me that I need breaks and roters and the price would be $550. I told him that price is way more than what I was quoted for exactly the work that I was quoted on. Told him I would call back. I called around and found That Mavis in Phillipsburg NJ would do breaks, roters and even an additional oil change for $250. I called Firestone and told them to have my car ready for pick up so I could take it Mavis. I told them how much I would be paying for more workl because an oil change was included in the $250. I was on thephone while driving back to Fireston in Easton.They said they would price match if I get Mavis on the phone to confirm the price. Took care of that while in the passeneg seat of my girlfriends cvar driving in. By the time we were done I was there. I walked in and Sean said to have a seat and that they would price match but he needs a minute to "crunch the numbers". He comes out 2 minutes later and calls me into the shop. He told me that ne just discovered that I would need calipers. I told him how shady that he just discoovered this in the two minutes after he found out that he would be price matching and that no one was even near my car during those two minutes. I ended up tking my car to Mavis Discount Tire in Phillipsburg New Jersey, 10 minutes away for Firestone. I asked them to check to see if I need calipers. They said that I did NOT need calipers. I got my breaks and roters replaced and an ol change and was out of there in an hour. Huge difference in price, huge difference in honesty and respect. Less wait time. Do your self a favor, tear clear of Firestone!!
