Experian Charged Me For a Credit Report That Was Advertised As Free! Unauthorized Charge Costa Mesa California
I have a free membership with Experian. They emailed me stating that my credit reports and current FICO scores were ready. When I clicked on it, the credit reports were advertised as free. When I agreed, I agreed and clicked it stated my card would be charged 0.00! Had it of stated $24.99 I never would have clicked and agreed! Now days later I see an unauthorized charge for $24.99 on my bank statement! The worst part is that I cannot find a phone number to call Experian on any of the emails from them! Not sure if the email address that the email came from accepts incoming email either! I feel that I was scammed by Experian! I want my $24.99 refunded ASAP!

I did not give them my credit card recently! They already had it from prior business that did with them several years ago! I did not agree to a new membership!

If you didn't sign up for a membership, then how come they had your credit card number? You don't need to provide any payment credentials if you are just getting your free credit report. And yes, Experian has a 100% free credit monitoring service, it is not at all a ripoff. But you have to say no to the subscription they offer when you sign up.

I was finally able to get in touch with Experian. They claim I agreed to a monthly membership. After being persistent and refusing to take no for an answer, I was finally able to cancel the membership and obtain a refund.
