Tell us has your experience with this business or person been good? What's this?
In July 2008 we bought our 5th vehicle from Ed Moses dodge in Scottsdale, AZ. At the time of purchase we notated a couple of flaws in the paint and those were to be put on a 'we owe slip' from General sales manager, Sean Williams. At the time of delivery we really didn't know how bad the situation was and what the damage was to the vehicle.

On September 4th 2008 we took the 2008 Dodge Ram 1500 over to Auto Renew located at 8615 W. Kelton Lane #307 Peoria, AZ 85382 to have some fender flares painted to match the vehicle. Upon picking the vehicle up we were confronted by business owner, Eric Allen stating that there was some damage done to the truck and it had previously been repainted. We were in disbelief and doubt as we were shown the NUMEROUS flaws in the paint, the clear coat running down the back of the cab and the zebra stripping that was on the doors and roof of the vehicle from being repainted. I immediately notified Sean Williams of the situation and he said to bring the truck over for himself as well as Tina Escoto, Service Manager to evaluate. On September 10th 2008 we brought the vehicle over for some warranty work (faulty door speaker). At that time Tom Hauser, accessory manager looked at the vehicle and noticed some pretty noticeable body damage to the cab of the truck that appeared to be repaired and also repainted. Mr. Hauser brought shop foreman, Bob Springer over to assess the damage to the vehicle. After both Mr. Hauser and Mr. Springer were done assessing the damage Mr. Springer said, Well there is definitely damage that needs to be warranty claimed. He asked when the vehicle could be brought in to be fixed and at that time we told him that we were not willing to do anything until speaking with Mr. Williams regarding the situation. He also stated that when the vehicle is brought in he wanted us to go over and mark all the visible flaws and damage to the truck. Upon further conversation with Mr. Hauser he commented, This is unacceptable from the factory and this vehicle should have never sold new. He also commented about how upset he would also be if this vehicle was sold to him. He also said that he was confronted by Ed Moses Sr. and was told "Well I hope he doesn't think that we are going to give him a brand new vehicle."

If the situation couldn't get any worse-On September 12th 2008 at approx 10:00am we were driving the 2008 Dodge Ram 1500 down Bell Rd. approx 1 mile from our home. At approx 40 mph the airbag light on the dash went off and started beeping, the truck then turned off approx 5 seconds later allowing us to coast into a parking lot. We later turned the truck back on and immediately drove it to Larry Miller Dodge located at 8665 W. Bell Rd. Peoria, AZ 85382 to be evaluated be their service technicians. A phone call was immediately placed to Sean Williams regarding the situation. Mr. Williams stated his apology and was asked if we should have the vehicle brought to your dealership or to remain at Larry Miller for evaluation. Mr. Williams told us to keep the vehicle at Larry Miller dodge. The truck was diagnosed with a faulty airbag module and a needed to remain in the shop until a new one would arrive and be replaced on September 13th 2008

On September 18th 2008 we drove to Ed Moses dodge to meet with a factory Chrysler rep with consideration to the damage to the vehicle. WOW WHAT A HUGE WASTE OF TIME! He obviously was having a bad day as his attitude was harsh immediately following his handshake. He stated that he couldn't see anything wrong with the vehicle and that really he didn't understand what the problem was. I could tell that we were getting absolutely nowhere with this individual so I went in the dealership and asked Sean Williams to please come outside as well as Ed Moses Jr. Mr. Moses Jr. accompanied me out to the service drive as I continued to express my frustration and disbelief that this guy didn't see a problem selling a $40,000 plus vehicle in this condition. Mr. Moses Jr. expressed his gratitude for us purchasing FIVE vehicles from him but did NOTHING to help resolve the situation. We could tell this was going nowhere so we opted to leave and deal with this matter in our own hands. Immediately after leaving Ed Moses dodge we went to Larry Miller's body shop in Peoria, AZ to have them take a look at the vehicle. It was like the entire body shop was in awe as FOUR representatives came out to look at the vehicle. They couldn't believe this vehicle was sold brand new. The painter even came out and looked at the vehicle and could tell right away that the vehicle had been repainted. He put a Mil gauge up to the vehicle and the cab measured twice what it should from being repainted! They gave us an estimate totaling over $6,200 Remember the Chrysler rep couldn't see why we were upset?!

We believe that we have made every attempt for Ed Moses dodge and Chrysler to resolve this situation. We believe that we were sold a damaged vehicle as brand new. With all due consideration this is our 5th vehicle and feel that this vehicle and all money put into it needs to be replaced.

Remeber Mr. Moses slogan is-"If you can't trust Moses who can you trust?"

We encourage EVERYBODY to not purchase a vehicle from this dealership..If this is our 5th vehicle purchased from them and this is how they conduct business image what they would do to you!!
