Hotel lost my confirmed reservation. I requested quiet upper floor. Was assigned very noisy(bar music,traffic) ground level room with beverage vending machine next to room door. Small items(towells, soap,coffee)missing from room. Room air conditioner failed(no cooling) in the middle of the night. (Miami is very, very hot)Hotel declined to fix it. Next day hotel required me to change rooms if I wanted air conditioning! Refused any assistance(not even use of a luggage cart) with the transfer of luggage to distant new room(senior citizen,lots of luggage).

New replacement room also missing small items(towells, soap etc.) and had a defective electronic item. Hotel said they would replace it immediately. Never actually showed up. Someone who said he was hotel security(he refused to produce any ID) banging loudly on room door at 6:00 am demanding entry for no good reason. No prior call from hotel desk. Suspected security threat and called front desk. No one answered the telephone. Hotel did not provide the requested telephone wake-up calls either night. Breakfast not included. I paid in full at checkout but also filed complaints with the manager at front desk. No resonse of any kind by manager - just grabbed my money and walked away.
