Everything I wrote is 100% true. I'm not trying to blackmail anyone...not sure where you got that idea from? You can look at the pictures for yourself and see what condition the room was in. I'll fully admit that we shouldn't have stayed one night, let alone two but it just played out that way. I always try to find the good in people/situations and I honestly believed that the hotel manager would try to make it right. He didn't.
It's a lesson learned and one I won't soon forget.
I also wanted to update everyone. I received a call from the corporate office of Wyndham this morning and they will be giving my mom a refund - that's all we wanted, we weren't looking for any extras or freebies. I know I'll probably never stay at a Days Inn again but I'll have no problem staying at other Wyndham properties in the future. Thank you so much for doing the right thing Wyndham :)

I am usually one of the first to call BS on these kinds of posts but I'm not so sure on this one.
A few years ago we were on our way from Florida and stopped at a Days Inn and the room also was absolutely terrible, even the halls were creepy because none of the lights worked and the rugs were filthy.
It was so crummy that we would not even unpack out bags. We immediately left, we told them we were leaving whether they refunded our money or not. In this case they returned it and we left, they didn't seem concerned at all.
I think I would have slept in my car somewhere instead of that room. We were able to find another room at a different motel but Days Inn was not a pleasant experience.
I don't know if this is common for days Inn or just a coincidence. I've stayed in them in the past and they were fine. I don't know what the problem was.

Your story stinks like you said your bed and room did.
Did they refuse your attempts at blackmail, so you proceeded with a story to rip off report, who allows anybody with a keyboard to put any slander on the internet they choose, and hide behind the first amendment?
