My daughter went to Color Correct Hair Salon in Glendale, NY to have her hair done. She had been there before, but her stylist left. She made an appointment with a different stylist. She showed a picture of purple hair that she wanted. She got it right from their Instagram page, so they've done it before. She did not have any consult or mention of any price.

She was at the salon for 7 hours and her hair came out blue. They charged her $698 with a $25 fee for using her debit card because the owner prefers cash. Nothing was posted about prices or the debit card fee.

When she took a shower, most of the blue came off. I called the salon and tried to get the Owner, Pierno, to give her a refund. He stated they do not give refunds and that for $250 he would strip her hair back to her natural color.

We filed a complaint with the BBB. Pierno sent in a picture of beautiful purple hair that he most obviously photo shopped onto my daughter's head. If you zoom in on the mirror, you can see that purple hair does not match what's in the mirror.

He then said that my daughter had blue dye on her hand (she scratched her head during the process), so she most likely went home and redyed it blue after they dyed it purple. We also found a picture of my daughter on his Instagram with the caption "Beautiful BLUE baylage".





He also said he spent 1/2 hour with her telling her how long it would take and how much it would cost. As an aside another woman came in asking for the same color and was told it would take too long and be too expensive. He never said that to my daughter. He took advantage because she is naive.

My daughter recently moved to Queens and is a first year Special Ed Teacher. She also has a new puppy. She never would have agreed to a 7 hour appointment costing $700. I have pictures of everything.
