Indeed ! CircuitCity.com is based in MIAMI, FL. There are NO retail stores now. NONE !! Their offices and warehouse are all located in MIAMI. They DO NOT sell merchandise out of this location. They sell ONLY online and ship the merchandise to the buyer from this warehouse. I don't know what kind of store the OP went to, but it was NOT a Circuit City store, unless, as Robert suggested, the poster is actually lying about the dates and is talking about an incident that happened many months ago.

You just love to rub it in..don't you? It's okay..I would've done the same to you.
But to my defense in this case...with the OP stating "I ordered a camera on Circuit City website", which does currently exist...and then at the end stating "I am not sure if it's one of the reason of their bankruptcy",which would indicate the poster is aware their stores are closed down, there is implication that the cameras could still be picked up somewhere.
How could the poster be aware of the bankruptcy..and still claim to have walked into an actual Circuit City store to pick up anything? It didn't click in to me..because it makes absolutely no sense.
Since I do not know if this is possible or not to pick up any merchandise purchased from their website..then correct..I may have spoken too soon..and I am sorry to any of those who might have taken offense ..my bad, no cookie for me.
Now if you can not pick up merchandise purchased from the Circuit City website at any location, then this entire report belongs in fantasy land...which may be the case.
I wonder if we will ever hear from the OP again?..I have my doubts, but would love to hear the reasoning behind this one.

Not only did they state that he set the order to be picked up "at the store". They stated they went TO the store to verify that. They also stated that the employee said that both items were picked up. So not only did they "assume" that the new Circuit City had In-Store pickup they went so far to go to some store and talk to an employee.
I got charged for two. I went to the store to verify that, employee said that they both got picked up.
But you are correct this report makes no sense and exactly what the other posters were trying to state as well. Either this OP waited several months to write a report on a company that went bankrupt and under totally new ownership, or they are totally confused about what store they are talking about.

No comprehension issue on my end. But perhaps I made a wrong assumption..and if so..I have no problem conceding.
Since the OP stated he is aware that CC went bankrupt..I assumed the new owners who run the online business may have places for local Pick-up.
I have an ebay business and I purchase many electronic items and musical instruments that are only available on-line as far as purchasing..but do offer pick-up as well if the buyer is near the warehouse to save shipping fees. So since I do experience this for myself..it was a reasonable assumption.
If the online CC does not offer local pick-up..then this report makes no sense at all. Why would the poster complain about an event that is impossible to take place to begin with? Since it is apparent the poster is aware that CC brick and mortars no longer exist...yet claims he was there to pick up the cameras..why would he lodge a complaint even this much after the brick and mortar no longer exist? Does he want others to be aware that a business that no longer exists is ripping him off still? I just don't get this one.

"It's good to read and comprehend reports before rebutting"
Did you comprehend that the rebuttals were questioning how the OP could possibly "pick up" his item if there were no store left open?
In the old days, the item could be ordered online and you could take your receipt to the store and pick up the merchandise. Please explain how this works without a brick and mortar store.
My guess is that the OP is reporting something that happened nearly a year ago, which would be a complete waste of time because the business no longer exists.

It's good to read and comprehend reports before rebutting..
It seems the poster is well aware CC went under from bankruptcy..and stated this was indeed an online purchase.
Also is stated the item was not picked up in time by the poster..the policy as stated is cancellation. The poster states there were still charges applied even though the cameras as claimed were not picked up by the poster.
Now what is strange from this report..is that neither party seems to have any documentation...and unfortunately if this is the case..you may have to write this one off.
Even if you do not have a printer...you can save E-receipts and e-mails that will contain the order info and numbers etc. If you fail to do this...how did you expect to pick up the cameras in the first place? You need some kind of transaction number or how do they know anything? You can't just walk up and say "hi, I am Joe blow..where are my cameras" and expect to get cameras.

What I find odd, aside from the fact that there indeed haven't been brick and mortar stores open since some time in March I think, is this statement:
"I had purchased so many cameras from this store (for gifts)."
I wonder why there was a need to explain why "so many" cameras were purchased?
Could it be maybe you had a little scam of your own going on??? There was really no need to include this in your statement. Funny, out of that entire report, this is what caught my eye. I guess it's just the ''Columbo" in me...

I'm just wondering exactly WHO you are purchasing these items from. There have been NO Circuit City stores open in over 6 months. They are all GONE - CLOSED !!! Another company purchased the Circuit City name and has a web site called " CircuitCity.com " , but has no retail stores. Someone is definitely screwing you, but it is NOT Circuit City.
