I had the same problem. I just gott my $150 rebate check from Parago on behlaf of Circuit City. Below is a redacted version of the email I received from a Parago officer on 5/5/09 and referred to above in post above by WillSee : Due to Circuit City's bankruptcy proceedings, the check run we had queued up in January (checks are cut off of a Circuit City bank account) was stopped due to an order from the bankruptcy court. Last week, the courts approved the release of all checks that were pending. At Parago, we are working on the reversal and re queue of the stopped check runs. We anticipate the checks will be printed and released within a few days. Please keep my email address and check back in as often as you would like. On behalf of Circuit City, we apologize for this delay and inconvenience. Sincerely . . . . Parago, Inc. . . . ."

Circuit city is bankrupt and out of buisness. You won't be getting your rebate, there's no company left to pay for the rebate.

You should not of waited until February to find the location of your card. By the time December came around, most of corporate was laid off and the rest of the staff were probably going crazy with the one last xmas rush. I know they were there until at least Jan. maybe if you would of went into the store where you bought the item, they could of gave you a different phone number. Sometimes seeing people in person is better than dealing with things over the internet and comfort of your own home.

Either some disgruntled , about read EX-CIRCUIT CITY to be employee was mad about losing their job so they might have taken every dim ethey could steal and your rebate might have been somewhere in that... Or the people who were supposed to send the rebate decided to put it in their own pocket figuring that they could cover the theft in the debris of the Circuit CIty meltdown because if they are no longer in business-- who is going to be looking for it or to even find it. I think you need to write the Public Relations or Consumer Relations people at HP with pen and paper since it is apparenly so eawsy to facilitate a ripoff on line and tell them what happened and send copies of your documentation and e-mails. Your rebate was definitely stolen.
