On 7/6/18 I paid Mr Chris Coburn to help fix my credit. He started doing well. In the midst of the process, I was pregnant and fell ill for most of my pregnancy, everything was paused. Mr Coburn had asked me for some papers I’ve received from some companies.

I mentioned to him that I was ill, but he told me to search for them anyway. And if I’m not able to find them, to not worry because he will be able to get them. In March 2019, I started recovering and I searched for the papers and I physically dropped them off to his office. On March 26, He told me that he received the papers and "have already started working again on my file”.

He also asked me if I am "available to talk that day” which I responded that "I am off work at 5pm, I will give him a call”. I called at 4:47pm that day, he replied that "He’ll call me back”. He never did. I called the next day at 11:44am in which he replied that he was "in a meeting, call you in 30”. I’ve called several times, to this day I’ve never received a call back.

I then call the company that referred me to him, I was told that he was not affiliated with that company anymore due to him not providing the service that he had promised to do. Which later I found out that there were many other complaints like mine. I don’t need any more services from Mr Coburn, I just need a refund.

I will try to keep this as concise as possible. Ms Laurin is incorrect. While I understand her frustration, her blame is misplaced. First, I have attached certain sections of the contract between us and I want to highlight a few key points. The contract was for 6 months. The contract states that if paperwork is not forwarded to me, you are in default.

I understood your situation with being pregnant so I gave you a little leniency. The contract was signed 06-06-18 and expired 12-06-18. The text you included was dated 03-26-19 which was 9 months and 20 days since the contract was signed or 3 months and 20 days after the contract expired. When you reached out to me, I had no problem continuing to help you for free and chose not to penalize you because as stated, I understood your situation.

On 12-10-18 I sent you an email, 4 days after the contract expiration, apologizing for the misunderstanding and reiterating that I needed any paperwork you received. You had one collection left and I suggested you pay down your credit cards to boost your score. The paperwork I asked for in December, you gave to me at the end of March and I still agreed to help you however I can. At that point, you still had not paid down your credit card or sign up for www.myfico.com as requested. As of the date of this complaint, your credit card utilization is still over 100% and you have new collections.

As far as the company you contacted stating that I have done this to other people, well, that is not true and I will deal with that when the time comes. I decided to part ways with that company because the broker was telling clients at his events that they would pay a portion of the cost of credit repair, but they never actually paid me for those clients. Then they went on to ask me for $100 per client to assist in marketing even though my company was not in the marketing material. I agreed to those terms but a majority of my time was being taken up and I was taking an 83% cut in my income. I tried to discuss it with the broker and he pretty much ignored me so I went on my way. I was told not to touch their clients which included you since they were working with another company.

That company lost a lot of Realtors and also a lot of clients due to the way they handle business. The allegations made by them should be taken with less than a grain of salt. The truth is, they wanted me to work for free, I wouldn't, they decided slander would be appropriate. I've included proof here but I have no problem forwarding you all the correspondence between me and that company so you can see for yourself that I wasn't the problem.

I have a lot more to say but this is long enough. To recap, I've included sections of your contract, time periods of your credit report showing what was happening and when; emails between you and I, emails between the company that sent you my way and myself and a snap shot of your report as of the date of this complaint. I did check again before submitting this and your credit card utilization is still over 100%.

Unfortunately, your case is one of a few that taught me an important lesson in business, having a heart and being understanding will always come back to bite you. With that said, the next time you complain that a company is cut throat or are upset that you are being treated unfairly, remember that you wrote a rip-off report about the one company that did treat you beyond fair and went above and beyond to accommodate you.

Deadbeats think they can stiff creditors all over the place and then pay money to have the accurate information removed from a credit report. Guess what? There is no such thing as credit repair. If the info is correct, it has a right to be there so other creditors can see your credit reputation. But the deadbeats come hat in hand and swallow whatever some scamster says who will gladly take their money for absolutely nothing.

If you want good credit...pay your bills on time. Of course you were defrauded just like the attempt YOU made to defraud future creditors when you thought somebody can make your deadbeat reputation vanish. Isn't that a shame!
