Business Funding Express Jerry Poole Business Funding Fraud Pompano Beach FL
I responded to a text recently offering a 10 year term loan to my business. I was contacted and offered offered unsecured capital at 149% for 120 days by Jerry Poole Vice President of Risk Management at bizfundingexpress.com , I recorded the entire 49 minute 37 second conversation from telephone # 561 502-5850 so not miss any of the finer details. During this conversation Brian Tort Financial was touted as a CPA and forensic accountant and his ability to obtain a D&B Paydex score of 85 or above for me in an approximate 3 month period. The purpose of obtaining the Paydex score was to get my business "bankable", a phrase used several times by Mr. Poole, at which time he would "buy out" the unsecured 149% advance with a $250,000 revolving line of credit starting at 1.4% interest. I was also given a strategy of setting aside a portion of the unsecured advance at 149% "using Mr. Poole's money" for 60 business days to pay the daily payment while Brian Tort Financial does the reporting to D&B that will ultimately land my business in the "bankable" category and qualify me for the BLOC at 1.4% interest. What is curious is Mr. Poole stated Business Funding Express was "the #4 business funding company in the US and in business for 14 years", and that they are a direct lender. Upon some quick research I found the corporation was established on Jan 18, 2023 on sunbiz.org . As of this morning they seem to have achieved 57 Fake Five Star reviews on Google, quite a feat for 2 months in business. Upon further research I found the owners of this company have fraud convictions and their former business venture has 2 open Fraud cases in Broward County, FL : https://www.yelp.com/biz/capital-city-moving-oakland-park#reviews I also reached out to the real funding company providing the unsecured capital at 149%, who emailed their contract directly to me. As I made my way up the food chain to one of the partners he stated to me Business Funding Express is a broker not a funding source, he was also quite put off when I played the recording of the scenario proposed to my client by Mr. Poole. He did state they were not aware of a Risk Management Dept at Business Funding Express, did not know of a Jerry Poole and upon checking dealt exclusively with a Michael Rosso. Some Googling on Michael Rosso seems to have included he was a principal of a notorious moving broker, Capital City Moving,which has open cases for fraud in Broward county FL and Jarryd Ageloff another partner convicted of Fraud in a prior venture. My counsel has reported and provided my sworn affadavit along with the aforementioned recording of Jerry Poole and Business Funding Express to the proper Local and Federal authorities and there is an Agent in Charge assigned to the investigation. Do not fall for this scam!
