Budget Rent A Car Price gouges the fees for rental cars - charged 175/day because they were the only ones with a car available. Newark New Jersey

I had to make last minute travel plans to Newark, NJ for work related training. I had to rent a car for my trip. I contacted every company available and the ONLY company with a car available was Budget, and they were charging $634 for 3.5 days for a compact car.
A colleague of mine rented a standard size vehicle for the same time period earlier in the week and paid 65$/day
Budget of Newark is a unscrupulous price gouging company and I will take a taxi across the country over renting from them again.
