Tell us has your experience with this business or person been good? What's this?
I rented a car on April 3rd. LYNN was the agent who rented me the car. She became annoyed when I turned down the extra insurance she tried to sell me.

Before leaving with the car I inspected it and noted several scuffs and scratches on the right rear of the vehicle. I noted this damage on the pre rental inspection form you are given with your rental agreement. As it was a darkened parking garage I did my best to notate each and every scratch. This document was given to security who let me leave with the car.

Two hours later I returned the rental car as I'd finished my business for the day. KHESED was the agent who handled the return. He immediately blamed me for one of the scuffs on the right rear of the car, telling me I'd have to fill out a damage claim. He was not interested in the fact that I'd noted the damage on the inspection form I'd been given two hours earlier, when I picked up the car.

I filled out a damage incident report, again making it clear this damage was pre existing. The agent I gave the form to told me not to worry because "rarely does anything come out these minor incidents". I put that in quotes because I'm paraphrasing but that was basically her comment.

Flash forward two months, Budget is attempting to charge me a total of $213.05 to repair the one scuff mark:

1. Labor-66.00
2. Paint and Material-59.40
3. Loss Of Use-32.84
4. Administrative Fee-50.00
5. Tax-4.81

This comes from their claims department located at 7120 Haven Street, Las Vegas, 89119. Robyn Curtis is the claims assistant in charge of my case.

The copy of the rental agreement they've sent me is not original, nor correct, as it states I was a cash customer, when in reality I paid via credit card. I also pre-paid completely though this form says I did not.

They've included an estimate from Jessie Coronado at Visions West Colortech that incorrectly identifies the damage as being "front seat driver side" when in reality the pre existing damage is near the rear seat passenger side. They're throwing these fraudulent claims together so fast they can't even stop and get the details right!

They included a copy of the Check In slip prepared by my friend KHESED that notes the scuff mark exactly in the area I noted it on the check out inspection slip I prepared before taking the care. Mysteriously however this document is not part of the claim. I have sent a fax to Robyn requesting this document to take to my lawyer.

Last but not least they included pictures of the damage, which are not viewable, because they've been scanned, faxed and then emailed. If they were viewable you'd be able to see the rest of the pre existing damage.

Bottom line here is that Budget Las Vegas was upset they could not stick me with extra charges for their insurance, so I'm being punished with a blatantly fraudulent damage claim. A claim I will not pay and will fight this until the end.
