I contacted Best Buy to use their price match guarantee,  I was assisted by a representative who had me purchase the item and then said that I would receive the refund for the price difference and would get a confirmation email within 24 hrs.  After waiting 2 days I called again and spoke with another representative who said that the first person I talked to had entered something wrong I the system and thus the refund was denied, however that he would go ahead and resubmit the request so that uncoils get the refund.

I gave him all the same information and he verified the competitors website and agreed that a price match was in order,  I asked him to make sure it would go trough since the sale ended that day and if they wouere not going to honor the price match that I would just buy it from the competitor.  He assured me that it would go through but the call was disconnected so I called back again and spoke with another representative who said that yes the second person had resubmitted the forms and that they all looked correct and that I should get a confirmation email amd a refund with in 48 hrs.  

After waiting 4 days I called again and was told that the refund was being denied because the department that verifies the amounts waited until after the sale ended and now did not see that the item was at a cheaper price. After hours amd hours of getting the run around not being able to speak with a manager I was finally told that they were mot willing to do anything and that i needed to go to the store and hope the store manager will take pity on me and honor the price match.  

I went to the store and when I asked for the store manager the person that came was a department manager and all he did was call the same 1-888 number where they told him that they will not do anything for me so therefore he could not help me either.  Their price match guarantee states that they will match any price as long as it meets all the requirements which my request did,  the manager at the store said that he couldn't do anything because the amount of the price match was quite large.  But that shouldn't matter, they have a policy that they are not willing to follow.
