I lost my job in March, 2002 and by May, 2002, I was feeling pretty low about not working. I found the ad for Bernard Haldane in the Providence Journal, claiming they can help find a job.

I went in to meet with them, to check their services out. A "Senior" person there met with me, Bill Weidermeyer, and literally wowed my for 2 hours, raising my spirits and encouraging me to let them help me.

In the midst of it all, after wowing me for quite some time, he mentioned the fee, he said "forty nine ninety nine. Being a bit naive, I actually thought he meant forty nine dollars......he didn't. He meant forty nine hundred... I really had no time to think and say no way, feeling encouraged and having faith that they could help, I gave them my credit card. Yes, I was wrong.

They have helped me re-write my resume, information I have also found in a job seeking book, that is all. They have never provided me with leads for any jobs and the site they gave me access to has never given me leads either, in fact, it is quite outdated.

I do feel I was misled and ripped off from Bernard Haldane... and although I also feel responsible and know I am, I also feel they wrongly promised help in finding a position and used coercion in convincing me to sign up for their services.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you.

Lynne, you are still being ripped off. Have they helped you found a job? they do not have any "hidden employment opportunities"

Yes you are correct, their fees are Exhorbant and totally beyond reasonable. The point is, they do not have any "hidden employment opportunities". By searching the web, looking in newspapers, and having somebody do your resume, you do not need to spend 5k. You can find a job yourself. You are being ripped off. File a complaint with BH and tell them you want your money back. There are several on going investigations going on in several states against these guys.

I am updating this report originally filed on 11/10 as I have recently received communication from Bernard Haldane in Providence, RI and understand they are willing to help. While I continue to feel the fee I paid was excessive, extremely excessive, I do not feel they are on the same level as some of the other Bernard Haldane companies that have been called "ripoff con-artists".
