I am Col Malec’s wife and I have been calling, left messages and was told the owner would call me Monday. I’ve never heard a word back and I’ve been leaving messages on voicemail and via Facebook since Friday. I want a full refund of the disaster that happened Friday and will be notifying everyone on base of the disgrace this company provided. I have a list of everything that happened that day, including serving old food for dinner from the lunch, missing and paid items, and being charged for 150 people and only having enough for about 30 people.
I expect a call tomorrow morning or else I will be contacting the BBB and the base event center manager. This company is a fraud and stole our money. Food that was fresh was tasty, but way too many terrible things happened. The dinner was an outright embarrassment and the set up could have been done by anyone with half a brain. Only 30 pulled pork sandwiches for 50 people, a small bowl of leftover chicken salad from lunch, mushy and soggy egg rolls left over from lunch, cold and soggy veggie squares left over from lunch in plastic to go box, not enough serving utensils, missing coleslaw from make your own pulled pork sandwich bar, no water service as was requested, no spinach artichoke dip, ice tea left over from lunch, no sauce for soggy egg rolls, no croissants for soupy chicken salad, no bread for spinach dip, missing 3rd warming dish we paid for, crackers were stale, cheese was hard and rubbery from leftover lunch, shrimp was left over from lunch, and the owner tried to pay me $125 for the shrimp.
I paid $7000 for this joke of a caterer. None of the workers spoke much English, did not provide any extra food for us to keep despite the fact that we paid for it all. Ruined my husbands Col retirement and there is no way to get back that day to do it right. The only way to fix this is to provide a 100% refund. Period.
