In Dec 2019 I purchased a general electric range from the home depot. I also purchased a 5-year extended warranty on the stove. The stove started to have little electrical blips where the LED panel would go out but come back on. We thought it was a power surge but it was just the stove doing it.

After a while it happened more often to the point where the double ovens would not come on at all because the LED panel (which controlled the ovens) was always out. But the range continued to work at the top. This is a glass top stove and after a while the larger burners started to burn continuously without alternating on and off to regulate the temperatures to keep a constant stable temperature just like any stove would do... but the larger burners just stayed on getting hotter and hotter and hotter and we never noticed it until the food started burning up.

Then the heat of the burner became so hot one afternoon because it never regulated the temperature or the burner on and off like it normally would that it cracked the glass top. Assurion continues to tell us that we broke the glass top by negligence therefore they don't have to cover the stove..But i asked about the electronics and mum is the word.

So in other words I paid hundreds of dollars for an extended warranty and Asurion gets to just take that money to the bank and now I'm reading all these other reports where Asurion has done the same to them and to a lot of these people which tells me that assurion is more a fraudulent company than it is reputable.
