AP Vantage Motors LLC Deposit Thief's - Wont Allow Mechanics to Inspect Vehicle Statesville North Carolina
STAY AWAY FROM THIS BUSINESS. Found a Land Rover discovery on Ebay through their ads. Spoke with the salesman via email and decided that I was serious about the vehicle and wanted it. They sent me an invoice for a deposit of $500 which I promptly paid. The next morning, I emailed him and told him I was working on the paperwork and also had a mechanic in route to test drive the car since the location is 500 miles away. Immediately they told me their “policy” is that the buyer must be present to inspect a vehicle. I explained that I couldn’t be present because its 500 miles away which is why we hired and paid a mechanic who is 10 minutes away to make sure everything is as stated. They will not allow a mechanic to inspect a vehicle that is for sale, the concept is ridiculous. I said no problem, please return the deposit, which they are now refusing to do. No honest car dealer would have a problem having their vehicles inspected by a certified mechanic after a customer has placed a deposit showing serious interest and commitment, especially when they know they buyer is nowhere near the dealership and cannot be present to inspect it. Go to a reputable dealer and whatever you do don’t sent these people a dime.
