Kay, Once again, the inflated appraisal issue rises up. AMC was supposed to change their way of doing busoness early last year, but those of us who still had to work with them know they are still the same. The Department of Professional Regulation is a good agency to contact, but be sure to fill out a complaint form with the Attorney General's office in your state. Also, check one of my other posts and get the address of the attorney who is reviewing AMC contracts for free. Just because the loan has been paid off (Great for you!) doesn't mean that you weren't a victim. Let us know what happens. ALso, contact the Manager of Appraisals at AMC, Jim Murtagh (his contact info is on my other post also) and discuss this with him. He may not do anything personally, but at least AMC will know that we're not just sitting back.
