I forgot I had this card so it haven't been used for almost 2 years.

I ended up finding my card this past Saturday. I called the number to check my balance and it was only a little over $30. I was dumbfounded. I was putting money on this card for future presents, anniversaries, birthdays, and holiday gifts. Come to find out there were 5 negative transactions that took place last year. Now remember I hadn't used this card in almost 2 years.

I call the dispute line and was hung up on. I waited till Monday to call and the same thing happened. I call today but called earlier than I usually do and I was directed to their main hotline so I was able to talk to someone.

They told me that since it's been over a year since I used my card that they couldn't tell me anything and that they couldn't put the money that was taken out back on my card. The guy told me there was nothing they could literally do. So I asked him if they can take money from my card then how come they can't put it back. He told me it was just something they don't do.

He then told me my card was locked because I requested it to be locked in 2020. I asked him how was that possible when I haven't used the card in over two years? He kept telling me that's what I requested.

By this time I was upset. He reminded me that I was being recorded. I told him I know and I repeated for reiteration that this company can take money from my card but can't put the money back on and he flat out said yes.

I told him to keep that card locked. I don't need it, thank goodness but half the money I put on that card is now gone and there's no way to get it back....according to them.
