My 2002 Dodge Ram 3500 (DaimlerChrysler product) has had only one problem in 3 years and 20,000 miles: a blown power steering unit. This unit was actually made by a different company supplying DaimlerChrysler, as I have found out. Replacement was not an issue, as Gene's Chrysler had it fixed in 4 hours! Sounds like the dealership has a bad mechanic and is trying to cover it up. Contact the local District Attorney (i.e. criminal) and see what they can do. Maybe call the National Highway Transportation Saftey Administration (N.H.T.S.A.) at (202)366-4000 (sorry, no 1-800...) and see if any federal laws have been violated, or the vehicle declared a lemon by the Feds! Or else, take it to another Chrysler dealership. They will probably treat you better. If you STILL have no luck, take it to an independant shop and have them call Gene's Chrysler at (907)452-7117 for assistance with your minivan. Here, there are 6 independants that honor factory warranties, in a city of 63,000. There has to be at least ONE there in Rosemead.. Alaska's lemon law is strict: 3 times, and it's a lemon. Period.
