On 7-1-00 I ordered the Abslide over the phone, did not have a credit card, but gave them my checking acct number. My check cleared 8-1-00, but I was informed by them that even though the check cleared 8-1 it would still take 23 days before they could even send the product since I used the check. Whatever happened to sending it out in 4-6 weeks. Well, supposedly they shipped it out 8-23-00 but it turns out they never did. I kept calling and complaining that I hadn't gotten the product and their comment was it was in the mail. Well, as of 10-26-00 I never received the product and they also misrepresented how much it was since I asked when I ordered the product how much the total would be and she failed to mention that in TX there is sales tax, so what they quoted to me was lower than what they took out of my checking acct. Finally they said they would send me a partial refund but that took a month and 1/2 to get here, since they kept giving me so many stories as to why they couldn't send out the refund check (they were waiting for checks, had to wait til friday to send them out, etc). By then, I had contacted the Federal Trade Comm, the CA Attorney General's office and the BBB since I felt they were running a scam and keeping my money but not sending the product. And they would never let me speak to anyone higher up than just a supervisor. Problem was they never took it serious that they could not keep the customer's money and the product. Finally about a week ago 10-21-00 I received the full refund. They obviously were not going to send the product so they gave me my money back. But, not a "I'm sorry or anything, just here's the money, bye. I still want to know why it took almost 5 months to get the product and even then

they are incapable of apologizing for the delay. My advice, go to Walgreens or Target and buy it outright. But, also keep after them like I did. I filed complaints with everyone who could possibly help and kept a log of all the people at Abslide I talked to. Alfredo who works as a supervisor with Abslide knew me, since I constantly emailed them for a response and he also knew I was dead serious that after 4 months I wanted either the product or full refund pronto.
