In December 2013 I purchased a TV from COMPusa in Fort Myers Florida, it came with a $30 rebate. I was told to go online and process the rebate which I did. After about two hours and one phone call to COMPusa I learned that the rebate was not from COMPusa after all but but from another company. I finished processing the rebate and sent it in. I opted for fast turn around by paying them $3.00 extra out of the rebate of $30, leaving $27 on a gift card, thet stated delivery/processing would be about one week this way. Well after two weeks I received a rejection letter and I had a brief time period to resend the information requested again. After perhaps another two hours and another phone call I sent in the required information. It is now March 10th and no rebate or contact. I went on their automated phone system and put in my tracking number and was told it was being processed.....three months??? Obviously this company is in the business of stalling and ultimately ripping people off with meaningless details. I photocopied everything so there was actually more information than rquested and easily proved the sale of the TV. I have lost total faith in COMPusa(TigerDirect) and will never buy anything with a rebate from them or anyone else again...In total I have invested about 4 hours time and at least two long phone calls and at least 3$ in postage all for just $27 rebate!!! Definately another form of scamming people.
