Our ice machine stopped working. frig not even 2 years old. We called Sears and the tech came out a few days later.

The tech said ice got stuck in the machine. The ice was knocked out and the machine started to make ice or so we thought.

Two days later we had zero ice. Called Sears again. Tech came out Saturday and said it looked like the water valve may be leaking. Then he said no it was the ice maker. $220.00 later we had a new ice maker which produced ice. The following Sunday when I woke up,there was a flood of water in the kitchen,and hallway. The water went into the coat closet and leaked down the wall going into the family room. The sealing was so wet I could poke my finger thru it. Our Pergo flooring in the hallway is ruined,it is buckeling.

When I open the bottom freezer,it was like opening a sealed door on a ship where it was under the ocean. Water came pouring out everywhere.

I called Sears and the lady, I think her name was Maria,(it was hard to understand her)and told her we needed someone out to help us immediately. She told us no one could help us until Wednesday. I told her this was an emergency,to which she replied I'll tell them it is an emergency call and she hung up on me. I called back and I was told repairman do not work on Sundays. I know this was a lie because the first tech that came out  told me he works some Sundays.

They gave me a Tuesday date. The tech was out today and said it was  the water valve that needed replacing,but he did not have the part on his truck. They are now going to charge me for this new part plus labor for something that should have been replaced the first time.

We paid for a new icemachine we did not need.

When I called Sears to ask them who was going to pay for the flooring and ceiling, they talk over you and tell you basically you WILL pay for whatever their techs do.

This is a scam. They want you to pay for a warranty that costs about $250.00 when you first call them and tell them whats wrong with your appliance.

Beware of Sears!!!!!!!!!!! no wonder why they are going down the tubes.

We are waiting to see what will happen. I have a case number since my call today.

Oh, they also took the old icemaker,so we have zero proof that there was nothing wrong with it.
