Foley's called me to make payment arrangement on a past due account. I told the woman I did not have a Foleys account. She asked me what my name was, I told her, she said, yeap this is you. I was real nice about the whole thing, after all I don't owe them anything. We got off the phone and I thought the matter was resolved. A few days later I get a phone call on my private line at work, the same woman.

This time she claims the the similarities are too coincidental and that it must be me but I refuse to admit it. I explained to her that perhaps it was a case of mistaken identity. She replied, nope its you. I asked her how she got my private phone number and she said it was listed on my credit appication.

I never applied for credit. She began to call me on my cel phone. She claimed she got the number from my kids. Wrong again, the kids don't know the number. THis went on for about 4 days in a row. I told her I was going to report her to her manager and hung up. I called to report her only to be transferred to her once again, and the debate began. This time she had more information about me.

My creditors, my address, etc. I got really scared, I don't owe this company any money and it seemed to me she was trying to pin this account on me to collect no matter what.

I finally spoke to someone that was somewhat apologetic but asked me to call the fraud department. All in all it was just a terrible experience. I felt sick to my stomach. Foley's has terrible tactics on collecting and it seems that they will try to collect from anyone that has a similiar name just because they think "you are it".
