We were sent information in the mail about these wonderful vacations the Ramada was offering 698.00 per person and you get to go on wonderful vacations through out the United States.

It sounded wonderful, but little did we know what was waiting for us. We arrived at the Ft. Lauderdale airport and our car was in Orlando. After bickering back and forth with the Ramada we finally get a vehicle. Arrived at an Amerihost which was dirty and paid the taxes on the room. The room was only 49.00 a night. I thought these hotel's were supposed to be first class. That's what they tell you when selling you their product.

On Sunday we went to the tour of their time shares and it was supposed to take only 1 hour and it took four hours. We never got to use our free disney tickets.

We went to Ft. Lauderdale on Monday to go on a cruise. The boat looked like something out of the 1940's. What a disappointment when we saw this antique boat. The food was horrible the baked goods was frozen and heated up. There was a lot of people complaining.

The only nice thing about this trip was at the Blue Lagoon in Nassau.

The next leg of this trip took us to Ft. Lauderdale which we upgraded to be on the beach. Needless to say we had to stay across the street in a dump of a motel that was filthy and had a mold ring in the bathroom of 3'x3' with ants as our hosts. They would not let us stay at the Ramada which was right on the beach. I thought that's what we upgraded to. "No you upgraded to be across the street from the beach". Needless to say we complained and we stayed at a Sheraton which was much nicer.

Three whole days lost with running back and forth from the hotel to complain then to their headquarters, then back to the hotel to pick up our suitcases then back to the headquarter for them to find us a decent hotel. What a fiasco. We wrote to the Attorney General in our state. We did receive $698.00 back and we are looking for more. We do not want to use any of their vacation deals again. We will never stay at a Ramada or any hotel that is affiliated with them.

Hello, my name is "charlie". I am still working at one of the phone rooms for this Ramada Plaza Resorts O.F.V. I also used to work for the print shop that made the invitations. I also used to work in the mailshop that mailed the invitations. I also used to work at the warehouse where your packages (videos, etc.) are mailed from. So I know a thing or to from the inside. The low down from start to finish---- A "list" is generated. That "list" is sent to the "printshop" to be made up on a 17"x14" paper. It is then cut and folded to look like a booklet. Some of them are even glued together to look like boarding passed. It is then put in the envelope..and sent FIRST CLASS mail. Keep in mind anything sent first class, initially must be inspected by the post master generals office for verification...to make sure nothing on there is illegal or fraud. So certain "key words" are missing to be 'legal'. NOW, no where on the invite does it say FREE nor does it say it costs. Also, keep in mind because it is printed on the invite - "One call per note", "one call per household", or "one call per family" THE HAVE TO FOLLOW THROUGH!! because anything you advertise, you have to sell it the EXACT same way it is advertised. So if you would just read all of the information BEFORE you call...you will be the judge of whether or not, will you be able to make that kind of 'spontanious' decision on one call. Also, no matter what the "seller" on the phone says...example - "Its 698 total and the rest is free!" When you decide you want to buy, you are transfered to CORPORATE SHIPPING AND VERIFICATION. what they do is tell you EVERYTHING you are responsible for...tax,gas,insur.,room service, port charges, etc. And the verifier,by law, says... "You have the option to cancel during your statitory period, which will be in your 'terms and condition' of you package you recieve in the mail, however, beyond that time...your package is sold on a non-refundable basis. It is transferable (which is RARE for promotional offers) and extenable. Now, I need to verify that you have understood everything that consists of this package, correct? OK, I also need to know that you authorize the charge of 698" So it is clearly stated that it is refundable for a period of time. Look, I am not trying to defend this company, because to be honest with you, I could care less if they get shut down tomorrow for whatever reason it may be. Yes, the vacation is sugar coated, However I just thought this inside info could help. Hope it does...
