When I saw the infomercial on Fix It, it made me laugh! This was the most pathetic product I have seen in years. I immediately created a login on Rip off report just to set you guys straight on this product. In the infomercial Billy Mays claims "Fix It is the product professional detailers have kept secret for years!" Well, I have been a professional detailer, then a detail manager, then the Vice President of a detail company over the last 21 years. I HAVE NEVER HEARD OF THIS PRODUCT OR ANY SIMILAR PRODUCT. I have seen alot of different products but this isn't one of them. In my opinion, this is a recently developed product which contains a resin and a clear coat mix. Fills in the scratch and most likely the high gloss shine creates a glare to hide the blemish. They claim it removes paint scuffs also. This is especially pathetic because any solvent based cleaner will remove a scuff. It removes fingernail scratches is another claim. Mostly these types of scratches occur near door handles. You probably won't notice these scratches unless it is a lighter color car and the dirt has embedded itself in the scratches. To remove those, a light cleaner wax can be rubbed into the affected area with a cloth, or just to reduce the visibility of the scratches, an all purpose cleaner lightly sprayed on a towel, never on the paint, then wiped across the scratches and they are gone. Follow up with wax. Be warned, most of the products of this nature are made cheap, don't be surprised if the places you use this product change color at some point making the area more noticeable. It is common with cheap enamels. Besides the tactics they use for selling as seen in others reports on buying this product, bear in mind you get what you pay for. If this product truly worked, was undetectable, and repaired all scratches including those scratches which have gone completely through the paint, detail and body shop businesses would have been going under since it came out. I have never once heard a body shop guy say, " Man, ever since fix it came out my business is off 60%" Come on people, its a gimmick product designed to take your money and like most other gimmicks leave you with a useless product in the long run. Read the reports from unlucky buyers and get the facts before you waste another dollar on an infomercial product!
