I graduated from UoP and have attended online college at other universities too. Every online class at each one of the schools were the same. There were discussion boards that were used and the professor issued assignements. I have found the discussion boards to be worthless. I'd rather just do the work asked and not worry about posting to a board because I have to create needless converstation. Anyway, you are to read the book to gain your knowledge. The professor is not there to hand you the answers so you feel you learned something. If you are having issues learning the materials that are being taught, then maybe online education is not for you. People have to be willing to do the work, and it requires integrity. Sitting in a class room is boring and the same information is given. There are lectures at UoP, you have to read them. I am confused on what you are not learning because if there is a book issued you can read it and learn things.

I get on this website and read all these complaints about UOP. I've been going there a little over a year and a half and have not had a single problem. I am about ready to start my bachelors program in Criminal Justice. I get financial aid too and have never had a problem with it. I know several people who have had nothing but success with UOP. My friend just got her master degree from UOP, and got a promotion at work because of it. It would be better if you place the names of the propective employer on here to see if what your claiming is sure. I have spoken with employers, including my own employer and they will hire from any accredited college, which UOP is. There are colleges out there that are a lot more expenisive then UOP.
I have been attending college since I was 18, and I started at UOP and I am actaully going to finish college! UOP is a life saver, because I was able to work full-time at go to school full-time. Sure, they are more expenisive then community college, but they are a lot more convenient. It sucks that some people have a bad experience, but those people are a small portion of the people who have a great experience.
