My husband and I packed up for what we were hoping would be a pleasant weekend away from the city. We checked in to our hotel and everything seemed fine. The next morning we had a "tour presentation" which we planned everything else around. We went to the presentation, and stayed for about 30 minutes. We told our guide that we weren't going to buy and asked if he wanted us to leave. He said yes, so we left. We then went to collect our promised hundred dollar credit to use toward a $240 massage (that I never would have booked for that price had we not known that we could use the credit). We were told at that time that not only would we not receive our credit, but that we were going to be charged a higher price for our stay (about double what we had been told). We told them that we were going to need to check out and wanted to cancel our massage appointment. We couldn't get out of the appointment, and ended up spending the money for the massage (which was supposed to be 90 minutes, but ended up being about 45 because we had to get our stuff out of our room asap). We were very unhappy about the way we were treated. If the "guide" had told us that this was going to happen, we would've gladly spent more time with him. We ended up spending the rest of our weekend at the Super8 in town and had a great time there. The staff was great. Very kind and helpful.
