I was told by the salesman at CompUSA, by the manager at the store, and by their clever brochures and posters that by buying the full warranty package upgrade I would never have to take my computer or its accessories in. Guaranteed in-home servicing on all computer components and major accessories! All repairs would be done in the comfortable of my home by experienced technicians. Pure Bologna!
The reality is now four weeks and counting. My printer, scanner, copier, fax compaq 900 combo is in Dallas, Texas. It was put there by Jamie Ferguson (480-461-5457) CompUSA service area manager over four weeks ago for a single printing problem.
Messages left at their website to customer service, and warranty repair several weeks ago, go totally unanswered.
My in-home extra cost warranty is a sham! I have incurred hundreds of dollars of loss business revenue, personal out-of- house copying, faxing, and printing expense. Efforts to gain any compensation or temporary replacement machine from Jamie Ferguson has been totally in vain. He never returns daily phone calls over two weeks in time lapse. He literally treats you like Charlie Tuna of Starkist Tuna fame when you finally get past his answering machine, and says "I cannot get you a status of repair, Dallas does not know!" "There is nothing I can do, we will call you when it comes in." Four weeks and counting.
Customer Service, Company Integrity, Warranty Fullfillment is non-existent at CompUSA. Tell your friends, relatives, and neighbors to buy elsewhere and beware of COMPUSA promises!!!!
