COMPUSA DON'T BUY OR SHOP AT COMPUSA RIP OFF! California
Bought a brand new HP laptop and it was making a wierd noice and tried to exchange it for a different laptop. Only had the new one for 3 days and they refuse to replace it saying the UPC symbol was removed from the packaging? They sold me a 2 yr extended warranty knowing it came with a 1 year manufacturer warranty.
They would not exchange it for a different laptop because supposedly they needed an original package without the upc removed which is a LIE!!! They probably thought I was trying to get another rebate... anyways to make the story short they wanted to charge me a restock fee of $160 for exchanging it for the exact same thing which was stupid!!!
Well ended up getting it exchanged for the exact same thing without the fee charged but I got my refund on the extended BS warranty.
There was no point in that if they couldnt take back a laptop I was unhappy with that made an annoying noise. My warning is to make sure you buy from a place that wont make any big deals over a upc code or any excuse why they cant take merchandise back.
After paying $1,200 on something you find in a day or two you aren't satisfied with and cant exchange it is a straight rip off being stuck with something you dont and paid so much for!!!
