gateway computers financed by Hurley Bank ripoff, fraud,liars,illegal practices consumer fraud ripoff Soiux Falls South Dakota
I purchased a gatewat computer in December 2000, it was a gift for my children who were out of the state until I already had it for about 30 days. I ordered a millenium edition. The price was $1200.00. I am(was) totally computer illiterate when I made this purchse.
When my son came home he imformed me that not only was it not a millenium edition , it had a external floppy disc, which was a really out of date thing to have!!
I called gateway and was told that that was not what I had ordered, ( Imay have been niave when it came to computers but I know what I orderd),
They imformed me that I could return it for an upgrade for an addtional $800.00,of course I was no longer eligible for more money on their credit cardHURLEY bank,I was stuck with it!!
I made 6 payments and doubled up on the 7th onje,only to be imformed that I ahd made a late payment and skipped a payment!!
they did some checking and it seems their computers cant read double payments,it lists them as late or not made at all!!
The computer broke down shortly after that(of course the warrenty had already expired!( When I complained my contract was signed over to Computer Finance.I have made 16 pyments,have a computer that no longer works, so I just dropped it off at their store in Duluth with no explanation!!
Also after 16 payments I owe $1356.00 on a 1200. loan!!!
I am sickend by gateway and their attempt to bully,fraud, and get away with it, can anyone help me?
