Our company bought web.com services for years. All of sudden we a get a call from another web company saying our internet website for our business was down and they could provide us services.

I called web.com to see whats going on and they said that they had stopped using bank accounts as a method of payments so they had NOT collected any monies from us for the past 2-3 months. I asked them why they didn’t contact us about this and they said that they had and we had refused to talk to them.

One agent by the name of Krista M. even swear she had talked to me personally but I knew they had never contacted me on my personal cell phone which they had the number to.

Hence our website was down for 2-3 months and we did NOT know that, we had NO clients and we didn’t know why?!

Our office manager then called web.com and spoke with them for 2 hours and updated the account billing information and they told us they would bring back up our website. Then a day goes by and we still do NOT have our website back up. We call again for the 6th time in 3 days and spend over an hour at the phone with their collection dept. which told us although they took our business banking information on the phone the day prior they refused to use it to collect payment and they demanded a business or personal credit card number to pay them. I asked them why they did NOT tell us that information prior to hanging up the phone yesterday and letting us believe that the new bank information was good enough for them and they would NOT give an explanation at all, just saying pay us now with a credit card or your website will NEVER go back up.

They were holding our website hostage due to a mistake that they made and refused to release it to us or the internet. Mean while we are losing clients, I asked her to connect me with her manager and Krista M said that they could call me back in 48 hours.

We still do NOT have a website, their services are very poor, and you never get to be in the first page of google. They are a BIG company with way many too clients and they have 100 different dept., and you will be passed around from person to person and spend at least between 1-2.5 hour on the phone and I promise you NOTHING will get solved. WE have been paying them for years and their right hand does NOT know what their left hand is doing. While billing dept gives you one story, the collections give you another and the technical dept will give some story totally different, and mean while your business suffers due to the lack of care, costumer service and costumer retention in this company.

WEB.COM IS A RIP OFF AND YOU SHOULD CLEARLY STAY AWAY FROM USING THEM FOR YOUR BUSINESS OR PERSONAL WEBSITE. THIS IS BASED ON OUR opinions and experiences with this atrocious company and I am personally warning others about this company. STAY AWAY FROM WEB.COM.
