I have been in contact with United Auto Credit in regards to the status of the account. The car was totaled and the Insurance company called and told me there was still money left after the balance of the laon was paid.(have not been able to reach them either).

United Auto Credit customer service reps are very rude and have no true customer servie skills. their greeting is dry and point blank. there is no empathy; they are all robots(I can get this from overseas reps).

They have not sent any paperwork with the payoff of the vehicle and what the insurance have paid. The balance on line never match the amount sent on the bill statement.

This is far one of the worse companies to deal with and you wander why people perfer to del with a machine.

I will search for another way to deal with this company; I am sure the CEO or the CFO need tomade aware of the NPScore of their company.

The loan is definitely upside down but I received call from some one from the GAP insurance who stated there was money left after the remaining balance on the loan was paid.

I have not been able to contact this person it has been over 2 weeks, there was paperwork which was supposely sent I have not recieved that as of yet. UNITED AUTO CREDIT is only showing the amount my insurance company paid.

I thought the purpose for taking out GAP insurance is to cover the remaining balance of the loan once the insurance have paid the value.

So far the calls I have received from UNITED AUTO CREDIT is collection calls . I much rather deal with them via mail , their customer service is horrible and you can understand why they are rated 1.8 on the NPScore.   The worse of the worse.

The CEO and the CFO should really invest in changing the customer service experience.

I am not asking for a butt kissing section; just true customer service and transparency of the company and my account.

Vehicle loan upside down?

It sounds like you owe more than what the vehicle is worth. Unless you have GAP insurance, it is likely that there is still a balance due even after the insurance company pays in accordance with your insurance policy. It is possible that your loan is upside down (more than the vehicle's value).  This is especially likely in the case of a high-interest loan. The insurance company will only pay what the vehicle is worth and not the full pay off of the loan if the loan amount is larger than the vehicle value.

It would be best to contact them in writing and have the lender respond to you in writing so you have an accurate amount. You can get the amount that the insurance company paid by contacting your insurance company.

To me, it seems like the lender may be using this as a delay tactic to build interest on the loan. By having your request in writing the lender ought to move faster. If they don't,  file a complaint against the auto loan lender with the CFPB if the lender won't respond to your request for payoff right away.
