The wall paper was peeling in large chunks, the carpet and bathroom floor apeared to have never been cleaned, the window had so much dust on it you could leave messages, the bed looked as if they had been under water, the blankets had burn holes in them, the AC left the room cool but very wet, and the elevators kept traping people all weekend.

ALL OCCUPIED ROOMS ARE INSPECTED DAILY. I INSPECTED THE ROOM MENTIONED UPON RECEIPT OF THIS INFORMATION AND FOUND THE FOLLOWING. THE WALLPAPER WAS LOOSE IN A CORNER OF THE LUGGAGE AREA, ABOUT A INCH TO TWO INCHES, WHICH MAINTENANCE WAS HAVING TROUBLE GETTING ADHESIVE TO HOLD. THE ROOM IN QUESTION IS ABOUT SIX YEARS OLD, BUT VERY CLEAN ALONG WITH THE NEWEST ROOMS AND THE ENTIRE HOTEL. ALL ROOMS AND HALLWAYS ARE CLEANED PROFESSIONALLY ON A ROTATING AND CONTINUOUS BASIS. ANY SMOKING ROOM AT ANT TIME MAY HAVE SOMETHING BURNED IN IT, DRESSER, BED, LINENS, AND IS REPLACED AS ABLE OR AS APPROPRIATE. IN AUGUST WITH HUMID CONDITIONS ANY AIR CONDITIONING WILL CREATE CONDENSATION WHEN IT IS TURNED LOW IN THE RIGHT ATMOSPHERE. THE STAY METIONED IS DURING A BLUES FESTIVAL WEEKEND AT FULL OCCUPANCY AND INTOXICATED PEOPLE KEPT OVERLOADING THE ELEVATOR, IGNORING SAFETY SIGNAGE POSTED.

#3Consumer Suggestion

I, too have stayed at a disgusting Ramada on I-81 in Woodstock, VA. I don't know if the chain isn't pumping any money into its sites...but the whole place needed a re-do and fast if they desire to charge travelers 75 bucks a night. The floor was lumpy, none of the lights worked, there was a cricket in the room I spent an hour trying to find and it smelled VERY strongly of flea powder/carpet deodorizer. I'd expect that in a 35 buck a night place.
