We switched to Z-tel on the advise of a business associate of my wifes. We signed up for a plan for $29.99 per month.

When we received our first bill it for another plan and we were billed $116 and change. We contacted Z-tel through the proper channels to dispute the charges and got absolutely no where. They (Z-tel) accepted absoulety no responsibility and were rude, nasty, and inflexible in assisting in resolving the dispute.

We contacted Z-tel management on several occasions and were met with the same condesending, rude attitude toward our complaint and they were unwilling to assist in resolving the dispute.

On Monday afternoon (March 31st) we received a letter from Z-tel, a final disconnect notice, saying they would disconnect our phone on or after April 4th if we did not pay $45.97 toward our bill. Guess what! They shut the phone off that afternoon (March 31st) @ 5:00.

As you can plainly see this is how this fly-by-night company resolves any conflicts or disputes. I have never encountered more uncaring, unprofessional, unethical, rude people in my life. How they retain any business is a mystery to me.
