Complaint Review: WTJM Enterprises - Wholesale Furniture Direct

As an ex-employee of Wholesale Furniture Direct, I was released after questioning their business practices. These practices involve signs placed along the road advertising $195 Queen Sized Pillowtop Mattresses, also advertisements in the Metro Times, The Journal, Observer & Eccentric Newspapers, Craigslist.org, etc.

The advertisements generally state a "Queen Size Pillowtop Mattress Set" with a price that ranges from $75 to $195. The mattress advertised Does Not Exist.

Upon contacting the company you are told that there are "only a couple left, they did have a bunch of them but they are going super quick as you can imagine". They stress the fact that everything is "First Come First Served, while they last, what they have is what they have and when they're gone they're gone".

When you arrive at their "warehouse" you are shown a twin sized mattress that is a "floor model" of the advertised mattress. If you insist on receiving the item advertised they inform you that they just sold the last one earlier that day. It is also common practice to adjust prices based on the "customer's appearance".
