I WAS SO RELIEVED AND ANGRY THAT I WAS NOT THE ONLY PERSON THAT WAS MADE A FOOL OF AND RIPPED OFF BY WORLD BENEFITS.

I RECIEVED A PHONE CALL FROM AN OPERATOR AT WORLD BENEFITS TELLING ME OF THIS GREAT DEAL. (I SHOULD HAVE KNOWN IT WAS TOO GOOD TO BE TRUE). I WAS TOLD THAT IF I PAID $299.00 THAT I WOULD RECIEVE A CREDIT CARD IN THE AMOUNT OF $2500 OR MORE TO HELP RE-BUILD MY CREDIT. AGAINST MY BETTER JUDGMENT, I AGREED. I WAS ASKED FOR MY BANK ACCOUNT INFORMATION. I RECEIVED A PHONE CALL 2 DAYS LATER FROM ANOTHER REPRESENTATIVE WANTING MY BANK INFORMATION AGAIN. THIS IS WHEN I REALLY GOT SUSPISIOUS. THEY SAID THEY NEEDED TO VERIFY MY INFORMATION. RELUNCTANTLY, I GAVE IT TO THEM AGAIN (ANOTHER STUPID MISTAKE). I WAS TOLD THAT I COULD CALL IN THREE DAYS PRIOR TO THE WITHDRAWAL IF I CHANGED MY MIND OR IF I NEEDED TO CHANGE THE WITHDRAWAL DATE.

I REPEATEDLY TRIED TO REACH WORLD BENEFITS WITH NO LUCK. I WAS FINALLY ABLE TO GET THROUGH TO THE COMPANY, 4 DAYS PRIOR TO THE WITHDRAWAL, TO CANCEL THE TRANSACTION DUE TO MY BANK ACCOUNT WAS TOO LOW FOR THE WITHDRAWAL. I TRIED TO EXPLAIN MY FINANCIAL SITUATION TO WORLD BENEFITS AND I WAS TOLD BY THE WOMAN ON THE PHONE THAT THE TRANSACTION COULD NOT BE CHANGED, THE MONEY WAS NON-REFUNDABLE. THE AMOUNT OF $299.00 WAS TAKEN OUT OF MY ACCOUNT ON AUGUST 18 2003.

AFTER REPEATED ATTEMPTS TO TRY TO GET A HOLD OF THE COMPANY (APPROXIMATELY 20-30 CALLS) I FINALLY REACHED A REPRESENTATIVE OF THE COMPANY. I EXPLAINED MY CONCERNS THAT I FELT THAT THE WORLD BENFITS HAD SCAMMED ME. THE WOMAN BECAME VERY RUDE AND ASSURED ME THAT THE COMPANY WAS LEGITIMATE. SHE SAID I SHOULD HAVE THE CREDIT CARD IN 15 DAYS VIA FEDERAL EXPRESS.

APPROXIMATELY 3 MONTHS LATER I HAD YET TO RECEIVE MY PACKAGE FOR THE CREDIT CARD FROM FEDERAL EXPRESS. SO I DECIDED TO DO SOME RESEARCH ON THE COMPANY SO THAT I COULD REPORT THEM TO THE BETTER BUSINESS BUREAU AND I CAME ACROSS THE RIPOFF REPORT WEBSITE. I WAS RELIEVED AND ASHAMED THAT I AND SO MANY OTHER PEOPLE HAD BE SCAMMED BY WORLD ENEFITS AS WELL. IT IS NOW JANUARY 2004 AND I HAVE YET TO SEE A CREDIT CARD APPLICATION OR A REFUND OF MY MONEY.

NEXT TIME I WILL TRUST MY INSTINCTS. IF IT SOUNDS TO GOOD TO BE TRUE, THEN IT IS TOO GOOD TO BE TRUE.

I AGREE THAT WE SHOULD SET AN EXAMPLE AND SUE THE COMPANY SO THAT THEY CAN'T CLAIM ANYMORE VICTIMS WITH THEIR SCAMS. WHEN YOUR CREDIT IS BAD, PEOPLE TREAT YOU DIFFERENT. YOUR HOPE IS THAT SOMEONE OUT THERE IS WILLING TO GIVE YOU ANOTHER CHANCE. WORLD BENEFITS PLAYS ON THIS AND THEN SCREWS YOU IN THE END.

I DO BELIEVE THAT WHAT GOES AROUND, COMES AROUND. THEY WILL GET IT IN THE END. AND I HOPE WE ARE ALL HERE TO SEE IT.
