I purchased a new truck in June of 2006 while having a manic Bipolar episode. I made all my payments on time until I started getting threatening letters telling me that I am not carrying the correct insurance and that WFS would purchase insurance at a ridiculous price and add it to my loan. I called WFS and they threatened me that I needed to get a new insurance coverage. I had the best full coverage money could buy. I even switched my insurance companies 2 different times to please WFS. I still continued to get the threatening letters. I called them again to find out what the heck was going on. The CS rep started talking down to me and wasnt even looking at my loan info. He was looking at someone elses with the same name. He tried to tell me that I owned a van. He insisted I owned a van and I told him no I did not. I own a truck. He was not convinced and called me stupid.

I told him that I suffer from a massive depressive disorder and also have Bipolar and that I can not handle this stress anymore and hung up. The phone calls started and as soon as I said my name they started talking down to me and threatening to add there own insurance on my loan. When they called the last time I said that if they call me and stress me out any more I will drop the truck off at the dealership and you guys can do what you want with that F%$#*&g truck and then I hung up. WFS immedietley called me back threatening me again. I hung up and drove to the dealership dropped off the truck at the dealership and told the dealership I want a new truck with a new finance company quickly before my credit gets a repossession on it. Within 1 hour I drove away with a 2007 truck and 2,000 dollars from a rebate in my pocket.

I have spoken with my new loan company and they were very pleasent. I explained to them what WFS has done to me and they assured me that they would never treat me in that manner. I guess I will see them in court. That 2,000 dollars will come in handy for my lawyer. If you have similar experiences with WFS I encourage you to post a report on this site or leave a rebuttle to my complaint. Sincerely, Richard

Not for a minute.

I know of no dealer that would take a vehicle with a LIEN against it on a trade without the new financing PAYING OFF the previous lienholder. Also, the LIENHOLDER MUST AGREE with the turn in-most WILL NOT IF THE ACCOUNT IS DELINQUENT. The first action any dealer takes is to contact the lienholder for the payoff amount. When the lienholder informs the dealer that the account is delinquent that is usually then END of any deal that was in the making.

Further, rebates are normally applied to the purchase of the newer vehicle and not simply handed to the purchaser.

This is BS report.

They added the insurance to mine and never paid me back even after I proved I had insurance!

These people did the same thing to me, only I paid it unknowingly, then after convincing them I had insurance they refused to credit my account. I am currently trying to give the car back to them over even more hassles over stupid things. I love what you did!! Maybe I will drop mine off at the dealership too. I bought a cheap car that has no value... they will never collect thier money now. This is clearly breech o contract!

Meet in person?

Did you go to your bank in person about your truck loan question?

Talking over the phone will NOT help anything. Only the paper or person will give proof ==> Your truck payment card.
