When I cancelled service with VoiceStream on 8/17/02, I was told my $350 deposit would be refunded within 10 days. On 8/29/02, I was told by VoiceStream that it was "company policy" to wait 60 days for the "possibility" of a deposit refund even though the bills are paid, phones are disconnected and there is absolutely no possibility of any more charges being incurred.

I called the 800 number back and talked to another "supervisor" Alexis who told me she could process the deposit refund within 10 days by reactivating my service temporarily and that she would personally handle the disconnection of that service once the refund was processed. I repeatedly told her I did not want to incurr any additional charges nor did I ever want to do do business with VoiceStream again. She said do it this way and I could get the deposit refunded. We'll see.
