Complaint Review: Voicestream Wireless

Voicestream Wireless Coverage Area RIPOFF fraudulent ripoff business Bellevue Washington

Here's my complaint: I had received an e-mail from
inphonic.com regarding a promotion for Voicestream wireless. I was supposed to get two phones, no roaming, no long distance
nationwide, 800 anytime minutes and 3000 night and weekend
minutes, with no minutes taken off from phone to phone. I
called the 800 # and signed up over the phone. This was
March 28, 2002. I received my phones on April 4th, 2002.
Unfortunately, I am not getting the service I was guaranteed.
The phones do not work in my area. I have never had a
clear signal, which is what they were "contracturally"
obligated to provide to me. When I called to have the service
cancelled on April 14th, I was informed that I only had a 3 day
period to decide if I wanted to keep them. Hence, I was
going to be billed $150 per phone, plus $200 per phone for an
early termination fee. $700, I am appalled! Not only was
I not informed of a "3-day" period, but I specifically
asked the representative who took my order if I ccould send the
phones back if they did not work and she stated yes. I
believe that the contract from Voicestream is considered null
and void by Voicestream because they did not provide the
service that they had agreed to.

I have been fraudulently "duped" by Voicestream Wireless. They have taken advantage of me and expect for me to pay for their crappy service. The FCC needs to shut them down, NOW!

Here's what I'd like to see happen: I want Voicestream to disconnect my service, and accept their phones and accessories back. I want my contract "VOIDED" because Voicestream failed to honor that contract. Furthermore, I would like no other contact from Voicestream employees, or your representatives, other than an apology and written statement that my account is closed and
no further action will be taken on my account.

I just wanted to let you know, InPhonics is an indirect dealer w/Voicestream. If you had read the service agreements contained within the documentations you recieved, you would have had no reason to post this, now would you?

Voicestream follows a policy of Voicestream. If InPhonics did you wrong then take it up w/them.

3000 Night and Weekend? You should read your flyer better. We dont HAVE night and weekend, because we dont want to have people like you calling and arguing that "Yeah, I called this person after 9pm and was charged my night minutes." when you made the call at 8:59. Read the fine print on everything you buy, even your coffee. You might also find on your hairdryer it says "Do not use when asleep" - it's the little things you dont think of that screw you over.. and that is NOT our fault. Enjoy your evening.
