Complaint Review: Veer Lease - Geoff Eldridge

In August 2017 I put my BMW 740i on Swapalease in order to transfer the lease and get a Tesla.  Geoff Eldridge of VeerLease kept calling and texting me beginning early September that his company Veerlease would take the BMW, make the monthly payments and find a qualfied owner for the remainder of the lease.  Once they had a qualfied buyer the car would be transferred into their name and out of mine.  I had an attorney review the contract and to their credit it looks and reads as legitimite, but it is far from it.

I turned my car over to Veer in mid September and I did receive payment for October and November (after I had to text and ask when it was going to be delivered multipe times).  December payment never came and that's when an all out texting exchange of lies, broken promises of payment, blaming the post office etc. started.  After multiple failed so called attempts to mail checks (he somehow was able to get a USPS tracking number and make it so the envelope appeared as lost or undeliverable), I finally gave him one of my bank account numbers on 1/18 and he said he would deposit it there. 

Once again nothing so I sent him a text letting him know that I was at the stage where it was time to bring my attorney in and law enforcement and he then wrote back "The best I can do is deposit $1,350 now and the remaining balance no later than 1/26".  Wait, I thought you put both checks in the mail for December and January in early January???  It was at this point I realized this guy is a scam artist and pathological liar.  I went to the internet and sure enough others wrote that they had the same experience.  I spoke to my lawyer and sent a nice email letting Geoff know that he has until 1/31 to make both my December and January payments to which he wrote back "We would like to settle this without law enforcement or attorneys".  The payment should arrive today so we can finally put all this nonsense behind us". 

Of course no payment so now I am alerting the public DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH GEOFF ELDRIDGE OR VEERLEASE AS IT IS A SCAM, PONZI SCHEME ETC.  I now am getting my alwyer involved and law enforcement as I have no idea where my car is as he has never told me who has it or where it is.  FOR YOUR OWN PROTECTION, DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH VEER!!!! As a busy professional it is annoying and frustrating how much time I have wasted with this guy on what I thought was a simple transaction of exchanging my car for a simple monthly payment.  Now I am out 2 months payments and I hope law enforcement can find my car.  Based on some of the other reports I have read I'm sure I won't be getting it back in the mint condition they picked it up in.  If others want to join in a lawsuit I'm all for it. 

I want my money owed to me, my car back in the condition I delivered it and most importantly no more honest hard working people to have to deal with this scam artist.  My car was never listed on their website nor do I believe  Geoff made any attempt to find a permaneant lessee of the car.  I'm reporting my car as stolen and hope law enforcement friends of mine can recover it and I can get a day in court and prevent this from happening to others.  I can assure you any rebuttle Geoff tries to write will be riddled with more lies.  I have copies of all the text messages, his broken promises and lies in writing.  I literally gave this guy 20 chances to do the right and honest thing and he didn't so I hope this warning protects other consumers from doing business with Geoff Eldridge or Veer Lease.
