I purchased a used engine from used.remanns.com after seeing that they had an ASE logo on their website claimed "get an ASE certified free instant used engine and transmisson quote" . Believing the claim I ordered a chevy 4.3L V6 engine for my chevy 4x4 and had it delivered to cooks auto Care for installation.                                    Trusting in the websites claim I would recieve a steam cleaned ASE certified and compression tested engine,  I didnt bother to look at the engine before it was installed. Not until I got a call from the shop telling me they had issues with the engine so they did a compression test and found coolant leaking into the cylinders and compression readings were far beyond acceptable ranges.

Not until I saw the engine, and the diagnostics report, did I realized usedremans lied, and falsely advertised the condition of the engine they sent me four weeks after I ordered it. The engine still had the wiring harness attached and was covered in dirt and caked with grease as the photos show.  I contacted usedremanss.com and told them they did not send me a cleaned and tested engine and it failed the shops compression test. they said they would send me another engine and did I want to start the warranty process, I agreed and instructed the shop to remove the engine. Later after reading the endless bad reviews and coments from former customers who also got burned by usedremans did I call them and tell them I didnt want another engine and that I wanted a refund and the full cost of the shop labor and wasted fluids and parts reimbursed for their failure to live up to thier promise to deliver a steam cleaned, compression tested and ASE certified engine. they told me they do not cover shop labor or parts. On the warranty information page, Line 20, states "Engines and transmissions are tested, visually inspected and cleaned." Looking at the engine photos and the shop diagnostics report, its clear they violated their own warranty statement.  I have filed compalints with the FTC, BBB, the California Department of Consumer Affairs (DCA) and notified the ASE And am starting a small claims case for 1.For Fraudulent Misrepresentation,                                                    2.For false, misleading, and deceptive advertising Under 15 U.S. Code § 52 - Dissemination of false advertisements                                                                      3.Under Calif Business and Professions Code § 17500, which prohibits false or deceptive advertising to consumers about the nature of a product or service ie: fraudulent misrepresentation.                                                                                            4.In that they did knowingly and purposefully, sold me a used engine that did not meet their own website stated standards, and warrant statement on line 20 of the warranty section of the website In that they falsely claimed each engine is steam cleaned and tested by an ASE certified technician.                                                            I am seeking damages for the full amount incurred due to usedremanns failure to comply with their own warranty statement on line 20 of their warranty page, "Engines and transmissions are tested, visually inspected and cleaned." After informing them I was taking them to court they removed the ASE logo from their website as the two screenshots show the first was take march 6, 2023 thje second w/o the ASE logo was taken March 25, 2023 proving they falsely advertised they sold ASE certified engines and transmissions
