I bought a motor from AM used auto parts out of Flordia. I talked with several componies and went with AM because of their price, warrenty, and I was told by Joseph Miller that the motor only had 82,000 miles on it. t took almost a month before I got it, and when I unwrapped it, I couldn't believe what I saw. There was so much oil and grease on it, I knew right away I had been taken.

I emailed the company asking them how they were able to do a extencive test on the motor with it being so dirty? They said they check it while still in the vehicle, that there was no need to clean it off. They also gave me a link (after recieving the motor) to see what I needed to do to the motor before instalation to activate the warrenty. First, I had 15 days from the time I recieved it to have everything done, gasket's, plugs, plugwires, thermastat, even replaceing the timing chain/belt.This all had to be done by a certified mechanic or the warrenty would be viod.

I spent the day cleaning it off, and found that there was a strange color to the the motor. the valuve covers were two tone, and there was rust on the entire motor. I had the mechanic that was going to install it come over, and right away he said that the motor had been in a fire, that there is no way he would put the motor in my truck without totally going through it first. I contacted Joseph and told him about the condition the motor was in, and what my mechanic said about it being in a fire, and he said "none of their motores have ever been in a fire".





He asked me for photo's of the engine, so he could show his manager, that he would get back to me at the end of the day, and that's the last time I heard from him. Since then, I looked up the company on the Better Business Bureau and they have a F for their rateing. They have so many horror stories on there, ripping people off for thoasands of dollors. The sad part is, they been doing this for eight years!
