I worked for a very short time (1) month this past February for a residential exterior remodeling firm. Name of firm was Total Remodeling based out of Union, NJ. Upon my resignation begining of March I was told company policy is you wont get your commission check until jobs you booked were complete. Well guess what, jobs have been complete since the end of March. They have a weekly payroll. I have not seen a dime and Each time I talk to my former manager he says he will look into it. Not only does the company rip homeowners off by telling them what they buy is superior and the craftsmen ship is second to none. (Total Lies) they are also very good at not paying there employees. Without the employees they would not be in business. I am embarrassed knowing I worked for such a cheesy operation. My check due to me is $ 710.00 not a ton of money but it is the principal.

I've worked for this company twice and both times i got full pay without any problems. I know of one other sales rep who had no problem with getting what they were supposed to. After I had left the company everytime I called they let me know what the status of the job was and then called me to tell me they were sending me my final check to look for it in the mail.

The industry norm with regard to commissions and bonuses are that they are paid upon the projects completion and the customers satisfaction. This is to ensure that the consumer receives all that is conveyed during the course of the negotiation of the contract and that the sales person or designer is responsible as a representative of the company for any verbal representations that are anticipated by the consumer.
