Our experience with this company is about as bad as it gets.
1.They took money out of our commercial bank account that didn't show up on any statement from them.

2.When we contacted them they claimed the funds removed from our account was legitimate. However they refused to document this in any way. Repeated contacts by telephone and email and fax requesting documentation received NO response whatsoever in 3 months. During this three months they continued to hit our account for fees even after being notified in writing that they were no longer authorized to do so.

3.Sent a letter to them and emailed a copy to Jared Isaacman CEO United Bank Card but still NO response of any sort.

4.We were forced to close our commercial account that they had access to (May 2008). We discovered that once authorization is given to access your accounts that you can't get them out of your accounts without their permission. (This needs to be changed at the federal level).

5.We got stuck with machines we purchased ($800) that are not suitable elsewhere, had to buy new checks and change any references to the account. It was a major hassle.

6.We just received by mail and by telephone contacts from credit collection agencies alleging that we owe United Bank Card $2375.00 6 months since we got our bank account closed and a year after any communication. I assume they decided to charge me for some kind of cancellation fee but we have never seen a bill or any documentation about the amount.

This companies behavior is outrageous. We did business with them for a year and until they STOLE MONEY from our account and then refused to explain it or even respond to our requests. We were forced to close our bank account to fix the apparent security or accounting flaw they now claim we owe them thousands of dollars for ????? cancellation fees??? which a collection agency is now hounding us with.

I don't know who you are but if you are an employee or officer of United Bank Card you are outright lying about any correspondence. There has NEVER been any correspondence from UCB of any sort - just a black whole of non-existent customer service. I really do not understand why UBC thinks hiring guys like you to deal with complaints in the public forums and complaint boards is better than simply honestly addressing the issues. This whole deal with us started with UCB removing money from our account without cause or accountability. We simply asked them to make the correction if it was a mistake or document the charges if legitimate. By never responding they are in breach of any real contract and the loss of us as a real customer is their own fault. They simply ignored us until we closed our accounts to get rid of them as they were providing no services except helping themselves to our bank account.

These complaint forums visible to the public are the only thing that gets any response from UBC and all they do is hire goons like yourself. Take a hike. Let the lawyers deal with it......

Read your contract

Evan I highly advise you read your contract and terms and conditions as you will find all your answers in the legal binding contract you signed, agreed to, and broke. Unfortunately since you closed your bank account and disregarded the three letters sent to you stating what you owe and why. You now have to deal with a collections agency and not the company. As I'm sure you are aware this will affect your credit score greatly.
