UNITED AIRLINES ABUSES CUSTOMERS, this is no way to run an Airline?
United Airlines Abuses Customers
United Airlines lost my golf clubs. They cost $3500. They will not pay to have my clubs replaced. They said they pay the maxium of $1250 for any lost luggage. They will not even return my phone calls or respond to my faxs and letters. They act as if this problem does not exist.

I cannot tell you how many times I have read these complaints and found that by reading the literature (i.e. ticket, ticket jacket...) that you would realize that your arguments have no leg to stand on. It is unfotunate that bad things happen, but in the world there are legal contracts that must be abided by. Sometimes they win, sometimes you win. If they did not have these caps on values of lost articles then anybody could claim that they had a lost Renoir in their bag and United Air Lines would not be in business. There is such a thing as added insurance. I hope if you buy a home or car you learn to read contracts or retain a lawer who can read,so that this does not happen again.
