Robert Anderson called me at work. Said they represent Ligo and Shipley of Oregon, as well as Edward T. Weber and Ryan Law Group. Supposedly they sent me letters several times in the last 45 days. I have not seen any letters such as this, and I check all my mail. I do not owe this debt as I believe it was paid and nevertheless it's over 4 years old since my account was closed, which places it outside of California's statute of limitations.

I was told I would be sued for "malicious intent to defraud a financial institution" and "breach of legally binding contract." They were kind enough to give me my old CC #, and when I called PNC bank (used to be RBC) they said all they saw was that the account was closed in good standing.

Checking my credit report today, I see that The Calvary Firm pulled my report on August 25, the same day I was contacted. I did not authorize them to check my report, and there is no mention of the debt on that report.

This is a scam, and although I have noticed that "Edward T. Weber" has responded to some of these reports, it still hasn't changed the fact that he does do work for them which allows him to join the scum club with the rest of the scammers.

I hope this helps someone. I've been a wreck all weekend dealing with this. I will be asking for a verification letter on Monday and will send out a letter to them as well.
