FOR SEVERAL YEARS WE HAVE USED TWO TRACFONES TO HAVE BACKUPS WHEN TRAVELING AND NEVER IN THE PAST HAD ANY PROBLEMS RENEWING OUR ACCUMULATED MINUTES WHEN THE TIME RAN OUT. HOWEVER NOW THAT WE HAVE ACCUMULATED A COUPLE OF THOUSAND DOLLARS IN AIRTIME OUR PHONES HAVE BEEN DEACTIVATED  AND NO ASSURANCE THAT OUR AIRTIME WILL BE RESTORED EVEN IF WE GET A NEW SIM CARD AND ADD ANOTHER ONE YEAR OF SERVICE AND 400 MINUTES AS WE HAVE IN THE PAST BECAUSE WE HAVE NOT USED THE PHONE IN 60 DAYS A REQUIREMENT WHICH IN OPPOSITION TO ALL TRACFONE ADVERTISING AND STATEMENTS IN THE PAST WITH NO NOTICE TO US!! A REAL SCAM FOR THEIR OLD CUSTOMERS!
