My posting is truthful and accurate from my experience working for International Sound Corporation broadcast television operations at Arapahoe Park in Aurora, Colorado.  Otherwise, I would not use this platform to post what I experience.  Tom Godwin and International Sound Screwed me over financially and by working in a hostile work environment.  And by so doing, I am calling them out for not enforcing their safety operations policies and procedures in the Employee Safety Manual for a Drug-Free Workplace and violating Wildlife Laws.

Tom Godwin is the manager with International Sound Corporation setting up broadcast television operations at their client's racetracks across the country.

On May 24th, setting in the broadcast control room at Arapahoe Park Tom said, he threw out bird eggs in tower 3 because, there were no nest and it was something he has done before and laughed about it knowing there are federal laws touching, removing or destroying eggs. As long as no one saw it was okay.  A few days before, Tom discovered baby owls in tower 1 and was upset it can take at least a month and a half for the owls to fly out. I was with him at the bottom of the tower when the owls were discovered seeing the mother owl fly out and was with him when he informed the racetrack and the racing commission about the owls.  He proceeded calling the Colorado Wildlife Commission having them come up to remove the eggs.

When I accepted the job, I had one major question for Tom.  Colorado being a legalized pot smoking state, how does this law for recreational Marijuana affect the work place?  I don't want people coming into work stone not paying attention covering a race.  Tom said, it was violation of International Sound's Employee Safety Manual of a Drug-Free workplace.  It was also against federal law with the Gaming and Racing Commission being a gambling facility.  The guy who held my job before me got randomly drug test twice in one racing season.  On July 1st, 11:45AM, the pan camera operator walked into our broadcast control room and tossed a bag of Marijuana onto the graphic operator's lap saying I had this in my freezer you can have it.  When I contacted Tom in Texas by phone about the marijuana being on the property, he told me to pull the two guys aside separately and be careful how I talk to them because, he did not want them to walk out and quit and not to fire them.  Tom was more concern about being down two people instead of what was best servicing their client Arapahoe Park or Mile High Racing.  I informed Tom I had the shifts covered and people were applying for jobs from the ad they were running on Indeed.com.

I followed up again by email with Tom as I want to let these guys go. Tom responded. "I would leave it at a warning but if happens again, you can fire them. I'll give anyone one mistake.  Not 2."  I followed up with a recorded phone call and he told me to "Let them slide."

After I left my position, I was professional reporting this and other horrible working experience to Golda Schlossberg at International Sound's corporate office in Pikesville, Maryland seeking a resolution what I endured (Additional Issues) during my time at Arapahoe Park. Never mention I would inform the track or any other government agencies.  ISC's Executive Vice President, Joe Gordon, did not care and screwed me over financially.  When they failed me, I moved forward and reported the illegal incidents to the Colorado Wildlife Commission investigator Travis Harris.  Stephanie Jordon receptionist at Araphaoe Park Racetrack to forward my complaint to  Bruce Seymore Director of the racetrack.  Dan Hartman Director Colorado Division of Racing Events
and Department of Revenue of Colorado Richard Thomas with the racing commission,  how unethical and sneaky Tom Godwin was when I worked there and who cannot be trusted.  Moreover, International sound does not provide services that relates in any way to meeting the requirements of the racing industry especially when it comes to a Drug-Free Workplace when the track randomly drug test their employees.
